keyboard and mouse

when i try to rebind the mouse and keyboard and try to save the changes this happens (controller disconnected, connect the controller to the controller port 4 and press A) i don't know how to fix it bcs my pc doesn't even have 4 ports

Hey ya'll :) I recently got back into my childhood game. Is there any modern FPS keyboard mapping scheme I could use? Whenever I try changing it around, it ends messing up something else. Any tips or links?
