To mod/hack/glitch in private games you need to disable anticheat. Press home button when in pregame lobby or start the game and hit home button and disable anticheat. Mod/Hack/glitch away.

halo 2 project cartographer has a portable option, open halo2config.ini in app data, set portable to true, or 1? save, open the game and then close it, should be portable. may need d3d dll in the folder idk honestly. havent tried it.
