Instant Respawn

Hey guys,

Instead of having to enable Instant Respawn through Cheat Engine on a custom server,

could it be possible to add Instant Respawn as an optional playlist setting — similar to how you added Explosion Physics = On?

Something like Instant Respawn = On/Off.

Some players like it, others don’t, but I think it would be nice to have an easy option for anyone who prefers that game mode.

Hi everyone!

Since many players enjoy playing with instant respawn — as implemented on some servers such as HaloCol: Swords Unlimited — I’d like to ask if it would be possible to add an option in the custom playlist for Instant Respawn = On/Off, similar to the options you already provide for:

Explosion Physics = On/Off

Gravity = On/Off

Speed = On/Off

etc.


I was able to achieve a similar instant respawn effect on my server using Cheat Engine, but I believe it would be better for the community if this feature were officially supported as a custom playlist option.

Would this be something that could be implemented, or are there technical limitations that make it difficult or impossible?

In the server options, it's possible to enable instant respawn.

This is the decision of the server administrators, not the developers.

its a dedi option. if im not mistake whit the halo2 deditool

No, I searched everywhere in both h2serverconfig.ini and the h2deditool, but I couldn’t find any option to enable instant respawn.

I think it’s only implemented on certain servers, maybe using Cheat Engine or some kind of custom modification.

That’s why I believe it would be great for everyone if Instant Respawn could be added as a custom playlist option — similar to how the developers added, for example, Explosion Physics = On.

But I completely understand if that’s not possible.
